We love a bit of electro pop in the summertime, and recently we’ve been absolutely shredding the Soundcloud of Melbourne musical duo Kllo.
Kllo is the moniker for cousins Simon Lam and Chloe Kaul, and together their very catchy sound comprising of soft-smokey vocals over spiralling melodies and warm beats makes for the perfect sunny soundtrack. Kllo have enjoyed some massive successes since their explosive entrance into the music scene in 2014. After the release of their first EP ‘Cusp’, they’ve savoured high praise and rotation on the iTunes charts, millions of plays on Spotify and appearances at festivals and on stages around the world. A recent whirlwind tour saw the duo perform their subtle, skippy, early UK garage-influenced brand of pop at festivals and venues all through Europe and the US. Pretty good for a couple of kids who casually decided to start something between acting, music and sound engineering studies!
Since their return to Australia in December, they’ve been cracking away on their debut album. Until then, we’ll continue to burn out the soles of our shoes to their songs on Spotify and Soundcloud.
